An Indigenous-led workforce engine advancing Truth and Reconciliation through real employment.
Maverick Gardner Pathways North Inc. (MGPN) is an Indigenous-led workforce engine that builds durable digital careers for Indigenous people. We integrate structured training, supervised practice on real client work, work-readiness assessment, and paid employment at MGPN into a single accountable pathway.
MGPN exists because reconciliation requires more than access to programs. It requires economic participation — and economic participation requires jobs, wages, and long-term inclusion in the economy.
Why MGPN Exists
Across Canada, Indigenous people remain underrepresented in the digital economy — not for lack of talent, but because most workforce systems are structurally disconnected from real employment. Programs end at certification. Employers can’t find work-ready talent. The gap persists.
MGPN is built to close that loop. Training is paired with supervised practice on real client work; readiness is assessed against measurable conditions; paid employment at MGPN follows. Employment isn’t a hoped-for by-product of training — it’s the destination.

Why Partnerships Matter
MGPN is built through partnership.
Sponsors and partners enable:
Training seats and certifications
Paid work experience and wages
Digital tools and infrastructure
Community engagement and events
Transparent reporting and accountability
Support for MGPN is not charitable. It is a strategic investment in Indigenous employment, workforce capacity, and long-term economic reconciliation.
How the model works
MGPN operates an employment-first workforce model that turns training into paid, role-aligned work — by design, not by hope.
↓
Community-based recruitment and intake Participants are sourced through Indigenous and northern community networks. Intake focuses on readiness, reliability, and long-term employment fit — not volume.
↓
Role-aligned, employer-grade training Training is structured around the digital roles MGPN actually staffs (IT support, digital operations, QA, cybersecurity) and built to the standards real client engagements demand. No abstract curriculum, no role drift.
↓
Supervised practice in live operating environments Participants perform real client and internal work under supervision — building practical experience, accountability, and professional standards before pay enters the picture.
↓
Work-readiness assessment Participants are evaluated in measurable conditions on capability, consistency, and job readiness. The assessment is the gate, not the graduation. We don’t move people forward who aren’t ready — and we don’t hold back people who are.
↓
Paid placement at MGPN Once assessed as work-ready, participants are hired into paid roles at MGPN — performing the same client engagements they were practicing on, now as employed staff on real billable work.
↓
The outcome Every stage is designed to move participants from intake to paid employment at MGPN. No unpaid practicums dressed as careers. No certificate-only graduations. Training that lasts only as long as it takes to convert into a job.
